I am a second year student at Auckland University of Technology, studying a Bachelor of Creative Technologies. I chose this degree because of my interest in a wide range of subject areas. I am looking to combine my passions for art, science and technologies, to find a cross-disciplinary career in the creative industries.
I am originally from Palmerston North and studied at Palmerston North Girls High School. In year 12 I completed an Animation Camp with Lifeway Collage, and in year 13 I was my school's Art Prefect. From there I decided combining my love of art, and my technical skills could point me in the right direction for a career. Beyond university, I aspire to work in the movie industry. I would love to build sets, miniatures, props, mechanisms for animatronics, and ultimately push the creative abilities of both myself and the movie industry. However, as I study I am also developing interests in other areas, and am currently fascinated by posthumanism and the moral questions it raises.
